Madness in the Multiverse!

If you’re looking to jump into Marvel Crisis Protocol, or just need to fill out your roster with some fresh recruits or supervillains, please check out our Sponsor Board in Brum!

So I didn’t have chance to post this morning as I was at an event at Board in Brum! I would normally write a post the night before and schedule it to upload, but last night I had some very intense four player games of Yahtzee, which meant I didn’t get chance!

So I’m just going to do a quick post about some of the stuff from the event today, and will post up a full write up tomorrow or Monday. Dom will also be doing a write up, and he managed to go 3 – 0 with his X – Men, only losing to another Uncanny X-Men player! What a madness!

My Mrs is getting sick off all these tankards…

I managed to get another first place, just edging it out over my friend Jon who went 4 – 0 with his Uncanny X-Men! You can find his roster here! I went around during round one, and managed to get some interesting stats about the most often taken characters as well as a tally of all the restricted cards taken in the event! So, starting with the restricted cards!

Brace for Impact – 8
Doomed Prophecy – 2
All you’ve got – 10
Panic Grips – 2
Field Dressing – 9
Medpack – 12
Patch up – 2

I was super surprised to see two copies of Panic grips, I didn’t think anyone was still running it! Medpack, to no ones surprise, was the most taken card, followed by All you’ve got and Field dressing. I also managed to go around and quickly see what the most commonly taken characters were! I’ll have to set up a spread sheet next time to do it properly, but from what I could see

Scarlet Witch – 15!
Okoye – 6
Magneto – 6

I knew there would be a lot of Scarlet Witches knocking about, but I didn’t expect that many! I think every game round one had at least one player with her in their roster! There were 22 players in total, so it was crazy to see two thirds of them running Wanda. Magneto was also a big shock, with six people bringing Brotherhood. Despite the surge of Brotherhood players it was surprising to see the affiliations played by the top three players – Web Warriors (Myself), Uncanny X-Men (Jon) and Samvengers (Chris C). Out of nowhere, Dom was just barely missing the podium with his X-Men! If he carries on I might actually have to consider renaming the site as beast protocols!

As I said this was just a quick post to fill people in on how the day went, and I’ll have a better write up with more details tomorrow! Please leave a thumbs up if you enjoyed reading, or a thumbs down if you didn’t! Please feel free to comment any thoughts you have, I’m going to have to push Jon for a roster breakdown after he nearly Usurped my Throne!
