The next event! No.4

This weekend I’ll be going to Sanctuary games for the first time. They’re holding a 24 person event, so myself and three friends are heading up there. It looks like it’s going to be a really good event, and I’m even taking some of my own terrain for them to use on their boards! Today I just thought I’d share the roster I’m going to be taking with me – Once again it’s been changed slightly but is still true to it’s Web Warrior core. I’ve also got the roster that one my friends is taking, so you can check that out too!

So I’ve gone back on a couple of changes I had made recently, but once Infinity Stones no longer take a slot I’ll be adding in Moon Knight. Scarlet Witch is back in there, just in case I have to play the big 20 threat. I can still do five wide at 14, with Miles, Gwen, Black Cat, Toad and Proxima. Moon Knight will be making an entry soon, but I think I need a couple more games with him before then, and like I said once I have a spare slot from the Reality Gem I’ll be able to throw him in! Toad replaced Daredevil to make sure I could do the five wide at 14, and so far I’ve found him really useful – Interacting with objectives from Range two really is quite good.

In terms of tactics cards I’ve decided to keep Execute over Spider tracker – Like I’ve said before, if somebody does decide to try and chase down Corvus, They better kill him quick. Otherwise, he might just turn around and throw a Deaths Blow where the defender can’t roll dice – Provided Proxima is nearby to help – Which is a situation no one wants to be in! Spider tracker feels like a useful card, but I’d personally always prefer to have Climbing gear as I think it has a little more flexibility.

For the first time I have dropped Usurp the Throne – I think with big threats like Dormammu and Thanos with two stones being so common, it’s too unreliable atm to be able to get it off. This means I’ve got space again to have Whims of Chaos, which is honestly one of my favourite cards.

One of my friends who is coming with me tomorrow is none other than Elliot. For anyone who doesn’t know who Elliot is, he’s the one who always wears shorts and has no eyebrows! He and I have been playing MCP for roughly the same amount of time, although I think Elliot got in slightly before I did. He is going to be running Criminal Syndicate for the event, and he has given me a good few beatings recently! If we end up meeting in the final, I’m sure it will be like Venom and Carnage throwing it down!

I think El’s roster is really strong. Criminal Syndicate is a really solid affiliation and I think they’ve been slept on for a while, and El has been doing the reps with them. He has slowly made me have a new hatred for Luke Cage, and Mystetio has been surprisingly devastating in some of our games. If I can teach El enough words, I might be able to convince him to do an article about his Criminal Syndicate himself!
