AMG Interview – What would you like to know?

If you’re looking to jump into Marvel Crisis Protocol, or just need to fill out your roster with some fresh recruits or supervillains, please check out our Sponsor Board in Brum!

So guys, a few of you might of seen the recent post over on the Web Warrior Protocols Facebook page (If you haven’t already – You can find the page here!) where I briefly talked about the fact I’ve been given the opportunity to do written interviews with both Will Shick and Dallas Kemp from Atomic Mass Games! So, I thought rather than just sending off the questions I would like to have answered, I’d get some input from the community and see what questions other people would like to ask!

Who are Dallas and Will?

I’m sure that most people who have been following Marvel Crisis Protocol and AMG will have heard about both Will and Dallas – But for those of you who don’t already know who they are, these brief excerpts from the AMG website give you a quick breakdown of some of the things they’ve done over at AMG!

William Shick – Atomic Mass Games Head of Studio Will Shick has been into hobby miniatures games for over twenty-five years. In 2008, Will started working in the miniatures games industry. Over the last eleven years, Will has worked with or overseen nearly every aspect of miniatures games development, all leading up to his role in founding Atomic Mass Games.

Dallas Kemp – Sculpting Director Dallas Kemp has been a miniature hobbyist longer than he can remember. He’s had nearly two decades of industry experience, first as a commission painter, then working several roles in-house at a gaming company.

How does a written interview work?

So it will be pretty similar to this post, there will be the questions I asked in bold, followed by the answers from the person being interviewed! I’m aiming for maybe fifteen questions for both Will and Dallas, and that way even if there are a few they don’t want to answer, there should still be a good chunk that we get! I’m sure both Will and Dallas will be more than happy to answer any questions (Within reason!) That we have!

‘We need answers!’

So, what kind of questions can be asked? Where do we post them?

Honestly, your free to comment whatever questions you would like on the Facebook post. However, I’ll be handpicking the questions that I send off alongside my own – And as much as I would like to know the release schedule and also have every new release for free, those won’t be the kind of questions I’ll be sending off! Please feel free though to post up multiple questions, and I’ll be sending them off on Friday to be reviewed by AMG!

If you haven’t visited it before, you can find the WWP Facebook page here

That just about sums up this article, and I’m really looking forward to getting the responses from Will and Dallas. Hopefully we can get some insights into how things work, their experiences with miniature gaming and maybe even their favourite characters! I’d also just like to quickly mention there are still tickets available for Board In Brums Avengers Assemble team event in December, where three players will team up to battle it out as the top team of Heroes and Villains! You can find tickets here!

I’d be tempted to ask “out of everything they could have made a game about, including creating their own IP, given that others have tried to create successful games with varying degrees of success, why go for Marvel?”

    Probably pretty boring questions, but:

Why doesn’t Black Cat have Wall Crawler?

What’s the reasoning behind who gets what threat level? The Marvel comics already have power scaling (street level, i.e. the likes of Daredevil, Captain America, many x-men/ hero level, i.e. the likes of Spiderman, the weaker Ironman armors, etc. / strong hero, i.e. Captain Marvel, Most Ironman Armors, Vision, etc. / God-level, i.e. Thor, Hulk, Strange, Magneto, etc.). Why the deviation (like a threat 3 Ironman next to a threat 4 Daredevil)?

Any plans on the Fantastic Four, including Doom.

And finally, for personal reasons: who do we have to bribe to eventually get a Shadowcat & Lockheed model with phasing and fire breath?

Will Iceman and Emma Frost be joining the game? If so, we need some tutorials on how to paint ice and diamonds, please! 🙂
